National Living Donor Assistance Center (NLDAC)

The National Living Donor Assistance Center (NLDAC) is a new program funded by the Division of Transplantation (DoT), Healthcare Systems Bureau (HSB), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through a cooperative agreement with the University of Michigan (UM) and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS).

The NLDAC's mission is to reduce financial disincentives to living organ donation. NLDAC started accepting applications in October 2007 and a number of living donors have already participated in our program. NLDAC
would like all patients on dialysis to know about this new program and are looking for avenues to get information to transplant candidates, living donors and health care professionals.
