Biography: Ms. Bostic is a nurse consultant for the Division of Value, Incentives, and Quality Reporting at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Houseal is the ESRD Quality Incentive Program policy lead at the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ms. Carson is the executive director at ESRD Network 10, servicing Illinois.
Ms. Broaddus is the quality improvement director at ESRD Network 10.
Presentation Objectives:
- Demonstrate the importance of screening and treatment for clinical depression in beneficiaries with end stage renal disease (ESRD).
- Explain the ESRD Quality Incentive Program’s Clinical Depression Screening and Follow-Up reporting measure.
- Provide an overview of ESRD Network 10's Initiation Phase of Quality Improvement Activity (QIA) B: Positively Impact the Quality of Life of the ESRD Patient with a Focus on Mental Health.
- Describe ESRD Network 10's patient subject matter expert involvement with QIA B.
